On the Job:

Mark Levy, DVM ACVS, joined BluePearl in 2010.  Prior to relocating to New York, he worked from 2001 to 2009 for BluePearl in Florida. Dr. Levy worked as a staff surgeon at Long Island Veterinary Specialists from 1998 until 2000. He also worked as a veterinary surgeon at Round Valley Veterinary Specialists in New Jersey from 1996 until 1998.

Dr. Levy is credentialed in Vet-Stem® regenerative, stem-cell therapy in dogs, to treat osteoarthritis, OCD and other degenerative diseases, tendon and ligament tears, and fractures. He is trained in minimally-invasive surgical procedures, including Laparoscopy, Arthroscopy and Thoracoscopy. Dr. Levy received advanced training in total hip replacement, tibial tuberosity and anterior cruciate ligament tears. He is also experienced in orthopedic procedures, including long bone fractures, joint fractures, triple pelvic osteotomy for hip dysplasia, and tendon injuries.

He has performed many oncologic procedures, including reconstructive surgeries and limb salvage procedures. Dr. Levy is highly skilled in performing surgeries related to neurological diseases, including spinal disc disease, vertebral fractures and Wobblers disease. Additionally, he has published articles in various veterinary journals and given professional presentations on numerous aspects of surgical diseases.
